Sales Support Coordinator

Job Responsibilities:
To provide administrative sales support. Under moderate supervision:
  • Provides sales support for members of the Display Marketers and Proprietary Sales team
  • Process Orders, run P&L statements, create bindery order forms and brain-storm proprietary project ideas
  • Primary contact on customer service related issues and customers requests for title information, samples, and general inquiries
  • Work on several weekly reports; must have proficient analytical/computer skills


Qualifications:
Minimum of one year prior relevant work experience. College level understanding of and use of the English language; be detail-oriented, well-organized and able to set priorities under pressure. Must possess college degree or equivalent work experience.

Sales Support Associate

Job Responsibilities:
  • Support to Director of Sales, including:
    • Researches and runs sales reports, maintaining thematic category lists for sales team
    • Manages special manuscript, galley and finished book mailings to top field accounts
    • Assists in sales conference prep
  • Support for National Account Managers:
    • Reports to National Account Managers calling on Books-A-Million, Baker & Taylor, Ingram, BWI/Follett Library Services, Brodart, etc., as well as assisting with support for the Field Sales Force on children's titles.
    • Prepares for sales calls and presentations including filling out buy sheets, gathering materials, creating power point presentations and sell sheets as necessary.
    • Researches point-of-sale history as requested by National Acct Managers.
    • Maintain coop grids and send upload of coop grids.
    • Maintains Daily and weekly pos files.
    • Handles request for materials and cover images for accounts; coordination of materials for accounts shows and special meetings
    • Assists in tracking orders and stock availability
  • Daily sales support functions, answering phones, retrieving faxes, mailings, copying.
  • Assist at one or two regional shows a year.
  • Participation in department monthly reading group.


Qualifications:
Moderate prior relevant work experience. 2+ years. College level understanding of and use of the English language; be detailed-oriented, well-organized, pro-active and able to set priorities under pressure. Strong PC, Word, Excel and Internet skills are required in addition to strong PowerPoint knowledge as well as knowledge of the Mac would be helpful. Must possess college degree or equivalent work experience.

International Sales Support Assistant

  • To provide sales and marketing support for International Sales Reps covering Asia.
  • Under moderate supervision:
  • Oversees mailing projects and maintains customer mailing lists and databases
  • Prepares materials for sales trips and book fairs; must be able to work independently and cover office while sales reps are away
  • Responds to International customers requests for title information, samples, and general inquiries
  • Assists in the creation of marketing and sales materials, presentations, and order forms
  • Runs sales reports and helps with research
  • Handles special projects in the department as needed
      Some general administrative office work is required


    Qualifications
    • Strong computer skills, PC (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
    • Must be detail-oriented, well-organized, able to multi-task and set priorities under pressure.
    • Foreign Language skill is a plus, but not necessary.
    • Must be team-oriented and a self-starter who is willing to pitch in and help when necessary.
    • Must possess college degree or equivalent work experience.
